Fig tree park is an enchanting venue that will be sure to knock the breath out of you in every direction you turn.

A VENUE WITH ADVENTURE
With a freshwater lake as its centerpiece, this picturesque setting sits on a 100-acre property near Tathra beach. There are a diverse number of settings available for the ceremony. These options are the lakeside pontoon which would have your guests on an elevated deck looking down upon you as you took your vows. They would also get a beautiful view of the wild bush reflecting on the lake. The bushland ceremony is where you’d be surrounded by Australia’s native bush; this would have the guests gathered on a grass oval watching you under the mature gum trees to witness the passing of vows. Another location would see you on the beach, with the shimmering blue waters washing along the shore, your guests stationed on the sand with the sun shining and a slight breeze rustling around. As for the reception, there are two options.
The first option is the lakeside venue, perfect for smaller intimate weddings. This option is an all-weather facility so no matter rain or shine your wedding day will go off without a hitch. The second option is the bushland pavilion which provides adequate space for a larger guest count. It also gives you a larger scale to decorate and add your own flair if you want to. As with the lakeside venue, the pavilion has the facility to protect against the elements.
In regard to the accommodation, it is in their name ‘Kianinny Bush Cottages. The venue has 21 cottages and 3 lodges for the guests and yourselves to choose from. In choosing to stay at the location there are activities that are accessible for all for free over the weekend. These activities include but are not limited to; mini golf, swimming, canoeing, basketball, and bush trails, and for a small fee, there is flying fox and archery for both adults and children. You have the option between The homestead, circa 1847 which is one of the most beautiful spots to house a wedding.
The circa is a state of significance as it is a rare intact colonial homestead from the late Georgian period. This venue stands proudly alongside the historic property, priding itself on having an old-fashioned country-style venue. Another spot would be the gardens which are used for the ceremony and pre-reception meet-ups. There’s the main hall for the reception and the lounge/dining room for a more intimate wedding. Oakland Events Centre offers in-house catering creating modern Australian cuisines sourced from local fresh produce and ingredients. The dining room/main hall has access to the dry stone open fireplace adding an ambiance to your day.
